Morpheus and Minerva

He whispered a dream as Minerva lay asleep,
awoke her soul and pulled her away
from her body, into ethereal flight.
She felt on her shoulder, the hand of Morpheus,
warm and fantastic and full of light.
He pulled her off into Dreamtime.
Wrapped up in clouds, she arrived in Dreamtime,
a place where worries and fears are fast asleep.
Minerva is greeted by lyrical sparks of light
that ignite and inspire and carry her away
from the highest peak of Mount Imagination, Morpheus
took her by the hand into nocturnal flight
A wild, wonderful and wish-worn flight
to all the sacred sites of Dreamtime
Led by the shaman of sleep, Morpheus
Her soul free to fly while her body is asleep
nightmares erased and washed away,
All dark places bathed in light.
Sparks and explosions and songs of light,
ethereal wings beat in melodious flight,
up and up and up and away.
New patterns woven in the web of Dreamtime.
All the wishes that once were asleep
danced into being by Morpheus.
The heartbeats of Minerva and Morpheus
pulsed in harmony and light.
No dream or desire remained asleep.
A mystical, magical, musical flight
throughout the land of Dreamtime.
Monsters and demons all melted away.
Minerva's heart filled with joy, and she drifted away
down, down, down to the riverside - where Morpheus
told her the secrets of Dreamtime.
Her love transformed his words into chords of light,
songs of galactic flight
that could break the deepest sleep.

The night slipped away; Minerva awoke in daylight,
singing memories of Morpheus and their magical flight.
In Dreamtime, no longer asleep.

Thank you so much Mamta. It was my first time writing anything near mythological, and I think I'll do more in the future.
